I spotted this Munchkin Miracle 360 cup which said it was spill proof and just had to try it out. We’ve had too many ‘let me just sprinkle this water’ everywhere moments recently – don’t baby’s just love to do that? I’m sure it’s not just H’s favourite cheeky activity. But, back to the 360 cup: I love that it looks like a proper cup and teaches sipping just like we would. This version is suitable from 6 months plus, which is perfect for us. Munchkin also make a Miracle 360 cup for slightly older toddlers, it’s slightly larger and doesn’t have handles (Amazon Miracle 360 Deco cup).
Read on to see what we thought of this ‘no spill’ alternative to the sippy cup…
Munchkin Miracle 360 cup review
I love the fact it looks quite like our cups and doesn’t have a spout.
This is a fab cup, Baby H is 8 months old and holds it easily and manages to easily drink water from it. I can see water on her upper lip as she uses it and hear her gulp away. She’s only 8 months so this is brilliant in my book! Most of the time it keeps it promise and there is absolutely no leaking.
How the 360 cup works…
It’s simple really, when baby puts pressure on the top it releases the water! It’s a thin silicon material that just bends as shown in the photo below. The Munchkin Miracle 360 trainer cup really does work to mimic real sipping, just as we would.
Cleaning the 360 cup…
Very easy just unscrew the top and wash as you would any other baby item with warm soapy water or bung it in the dishwasher (remembering not to include any tomato-y dishes otherwise it could end up orange). The fact this has a screw top is a plain winner in my book. The Tommee Tippee cup is an ABSOLUTE nightmare to open, it just sticks shut too well, I usually send the remaining contents flying across the kitchen. I’ve only hit hubby with the contents once… Oooops!
The Munchkin 360 cup no spill claim…
It doesn’t take much to prove this right or wrong, it’s 95% leak proof in my opinion… The Munchkin Miracle 360 cup doesn’t leak like a Tommee Tippee turned upside down. Hold it by the handles, turn upside down, and nothing gets out, not one drop – no leaking at all = 10/10
However, as this cup works by pressure being put on the inside… If baby holds it by the top, upside down… It does leak… You’d think the exact right combination of all of this would be quite hard, but in the last couple of weeks she’s managed it 3 times.
Update: the cup can also leak if baby throws it with enough force and it lands upside down or on something that can press on the inside rim. Seriously though, not much leaks, and not anything like the amount that pours from a sippy cup, so the Munchkin 360 cup is still a FAB cup in my opinion. We’ve actually had several of these now, including this size and those for age 12 months plus.
It’s nowhere near as leaky as a Tommee Tippe sippy cup, but there is still water on my floor! 8/10
Munchkin 360 cup review verdict:
The Munchkin Miracle 360 cup is 100% recommend by New Mummy Blog and the toddler!
It’s easy to use, 95% leakproof and for that 5%, I’ll just say Baby H was helping me clean a spot on the floor!
Update 17th July 2018: We now have a second baby, and after almost 3 years of using these Munchkin 360 cups we still recommend them!

August 25, 2015 at 3:56 amHa ha that’s happened to me with the tommee tippee cup. I had to wait for hubster to get home to get in it!!
This looks really good.
I’m not sure there are any cups out there that prevent leaks in your changing bag 100% 😉 thanks for linking up #MaternityMondays

August 25, 2015 at 8:55 amI’m sure we’re not the only ones it’s happened to!
I can’t think how the Munchkin cup could leak in your changing bag, unless it was upside down with pressure in the right place… It is very very good ?

August 25, 2015 at 7:41 amWe have one very similar to this and they’re really good. Took Z till he was about 2.5 to get to grips with it though, he is a lover of straws 🙂

August 25, 2015 at 8:03 amaaa we had one of these without the handle, I have to say my girls always found it hard to suck the drink out but definitely more leak proof than most #triedtested

August 25, 2015 at 8:58 amI was surprised and dubious at first, but H seems to manage. I guess it takes a few tries for me to figure things out. X

August 25, 2015 at 12:11 pmI like the design of this – although it can leak slightly I think it’s definitely a better option than spouted cups. Thanks for linking up with #TriedTested

August 25, 2015 at 2:31 pmYes, it’s definitely better, and really doesn’t leak unless it’s held wrongly upside down… Which in almost 3 weeks H has only done 3 times. X
