My Carry Potty review - best and easiest way for potty training outside the house
We may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post.

So I’m just catching up on some draft posts… you might know that earlier this year we potty trained Toddler H and had a few favourite potty training products which just made potty training so much easier. One of those was the Dinosaur My Carry Potty travel potty, which, after much much use we think is the best travel potty for potty training. Holidays, days out, car trips, trips to granny’s… the My Carry Potty is easy to use and never lets us down.

I did a lot of research before buying, and letting Toddler H choose which design she wanted – any incentive to make her want to use it!

Why do I think the My Carry Potty is the best travel potty?

I didn’t want a travel potty that used bags and was fiddly – that sounded like hassle. I don’t need hassle. I need products that work and make life easy. Also, being pregnant at the time I was going for the easy option.

I love the fact that Toddler H wanted to carry it everywhere and use it in the house.

My Carry Potty Review

My Carry Potty Review easy to use and kid friendly

The catch is really tight so very safe and secure. You really feel it clunk so you know it’s shut properly and there will be no escapees!

Kid friendly designs

The My Carry Potty designs are all so kid friendly, a great incentive for them to choose their favourite and a great way to encourage them to use it. Anything Toddler H chooses she immediately wants to use/eat/open, usually before we get to the till. This was actually the case with this dinosaur potty. She used it in the car park as soon as we’d bought it! It actually fitted in the rear footwell so H was out of the rain.

The lady in Mothercare was rather taken aback showing H the cute designs she assumed this little girl dressed in pink mismatching clothes, which she had obviously chosen herself, would choose. No, H saw the dinosaur and started ferociously roaring.

The My Carry Potty is available in lots of designs and can also be bought from Amazon, now, Mothercare has closed down.

The My Carry Potty Dinosaur in Mothercare cost £24.99 when we bought it in 2017, but now, in 2020 it is £26.99 on Amazon.

Is the My Carry Potty easy to use…

It’s so so easy to use, it’s got a full seal on the inside so you just open it, let your little one do their business and close it back up. Simples. Easy peasy. Quick. No faffing.

We’ve now used it for pretty much 6 month when out and about, on motorways – it’s much easier to grab the potty than traipse into a service station to a perhaps clean, perhaps not clean, toilet.

When we get home, or a suitable place we just empty it out and use either an anti-bac wipe or some disinfectant.

My only slight issue with the this travel potty is sometimes I don’t manage to empty it easily as it doesn’t really have a spout on the side, but that’s not too much of an issue when he alternative is a plastic bag of wee which could puncture and spill everywhere.

Travel Potty Verdict?

We LOVE the My Carry Potty – 100% recommended!

Actually most of our friends have used them too, and also still love and recommend it after months of use.

Have you tried the My Carry Potty? Have you used an alternative travel potty that you think is the bees knees?

I love this! We never used one with Mia however i think she would use one now at 4 as she seems to be afraid of public toilets and hand driers! The design is so cute!

This looks fab! I have never seen a potty as fun as this before. What a great idea. I think my girls would have loved it when they were little. #TriedTested
