Find a linky… which linkies to join… which do I love? | How to start a Blog

If you’re a new blogger wondering what a linky is and looking to find a linky to join, this post should help. If you’ve ended up here also check out my How to Start a Blog – what is a linky post. Basically, a linky will help you find new blogs to read and gain links, while also help you get your own blog posts both shared and read.
However, it’s not quite that simple. First you need to find linkies to join and make sure your blog posts fit the theme as there are hundreds of linkies out there, just search Twitter for #linky #bloghop #linkies, and you’ll see.

Aby over at You Baby Me Mummy has a huge list of all the linkies she knows of. However, it’s not possible to join all of those, so I’ve compiled a list of the linkies I regularly join . I’ve been blogging for over 18 months now, and have joined many more than this in the past, but these are the ones that are my current favourites…

There are many others, and many others I have taken part in over the last 18 months (including my own which I don’t have time for any more).

I don’t always link up every week, but do so most of the time. It’s also worth noting that you don’t want to link to too many and then find yourself struggling to comment and keep up. Get a good balance and you’ll reap the rewards.
