This week has been quick, but filled with friends.
1. Friends
I know I mention friends week after week, but sometimes you all need a good (read: big) coffee and vent while the toddlers run around and play themselves. You just need out of the house. You just need an adult conversation, even if it is about the toddlers and their siblings!!
2. Spring
It’s been so lovely seeing more and more spring flowers pop up. So cheerful.
3. Creme eggs
Hubby and I were very good for a few weeks there, I think pancakes took over. But we’ve enjoyed a few creme eggs for dessert this week. Yummy.
4. Baby heart beat
We had our 28 week midwife appointment and baby’s heartbeat was excellent (apparently!) and she was kicking and squirming all over the place nicely for the midwife. Got to keep her on her toes following apparently! Oh this sounds just like Toddler H was, what am I in for!!
Baby was right in the edge of a normal measurement, and if I’m being pedantic, marginally under as she was plotted on the 28 week line and we’re just over that! I’ve to go back for another measure in a few weeks to see. I’m a bit unsure of this, as H always measured bang on normal or just above. Any advice?
I mentioned last week that I was seeing the physio about my back pain and problems walking and getting out of bed. I saw her and I now have a bunch of exercises to do. It’s was much better before I saw her anyway so fingers crossed these exercises keep it away now.
5. Toddler hilarity
I have a post written in drafts of one of Toddler H’s hilarious conversations this week. I love how her language has developed, how she now knows ‘pairs’ and ‘both’ as well as singular and plurals. Where did that come from?
H has been loving her new teepee I made and does snuggle down for a few minutes most days… Quickly followed by peekaboo. But we might be making progress.
6. Days out
We’re members of WWT Slimbridge and met friends’ and their baby son there last Sunday. We had a really lovely time and H had a ball jumping on the trampoline in soft play as well as splashing in Welly Boot Land and of course seeing her favourite animals, ducks!
7. Craft time
I took a few of my frames along to a play group this week to see what people thought. I had lovely comments and think I will go ahead with trying to sell them… I’ve set up a Facebook page now and so if you’d like to pop over and like it and share it I’d really appreciate it.
8. Reviews
I’ve got a few really good reviews coming up and some great list posts too – educational toddler toys, new things I’m using for pregnancy #2, and in a month or so products we’re getting for baby #2. So some exciting things happening blog wise and of course the #rockingmummylife Instagram community is going brilliant – loads of fab photos being added every day! Amazing!
Hope you’ve also had a lovely week and are enjoying all these spring flowers and the odd garden day too,
Lynne
