I can’t believe we’re getting so far into May! I’ve now reached 37 weeks, full term so am so happy this means I can go to the birth centre when things happen, and baby is doing well.
This week has been filled with busy mornings and quieter afternoons, just what I needed.
1. Cotswold Baby Show
I popped to the Cotswold Baby and Toddler Show last weekend and met some lovely ladies who I’ve chatted to online for ages – Victoria from Baby Prints Cheltenham (who took part in my #MummyInBusiness series) and Suzanne from Nom Nom Kids Reusable Food Pouches. It was lovely to finally meet them in person.
2. Sunny afternoons
We spent Sunday afternoon in the garden with hubby doing more of the patio, it’s so so so close to being finished… fingers crossed its dry most of his weekend so he gets it finished.
3. Outside time
Toddler H has already been enjoying the new patio, even though the edge isn’t finished and it’s not grouted. She can finally use her bike on it!
It just had shingle between the slavs before and so all the slabs has moved and it was quite uneven so caused her bike to tip, and her to trip.
4. Tatty Bumpkin
I mentioned last week that we had started going back to a class we loved. This week was also brilliant and Toddler H really is learning to take instructions from others and also not rely on me. Something I’m very eager for her to do with baby coming soon! Fingers crossed it continues!
5. New baby stuff
We have been very kindly sent some sensory toys for baby, so a review will follow in a month or two.
I think we might let Toddler H play with the shape sorter sooner though, it looks fab!
We also put up the Chicco Next to me Crib and it’s amazing! I’m doin a review on it next week so look out for that. Toddler H was quite reflux-y so this cot would have been ideal as it can adjust to slope, instead of using books! It also attaches to the bed so I can have a few extra minutes sleep a night – win!
I picked up some huge muslin swaddles by the people who make Aden + Anais swaddles in Homesense – I’m told by friend’s they should be so versitile with a summer baby.
I had been vying for a Mia Tui changing bag, however I spotted a gorgeous Skip Hop bag yesterday in Homesense and thought it was perfect to replace my BabyMel Satchel. Don’t get me wrong I love the BabyMel, but it’s nice to have a change and I think the Skip Hop has a few more easy access pockets and is slightly larger so can accommodate baby’s stuff as well as Toddler H’s paraphernalia too.
All together a lovely happy week. I’m now over 37 weeks, so I wonder what I’ll be writing next week and the week after! When will this baby arrive??!! As Toddler H says “baby exciting!”
Hope you’ve had a lovely week too,
Lynne x
