I’m sharing two weeks of happy as I’m not really sure what happened to last week’s. These last few weeks are flying by, I’m now 39 weeks pregnant, something I’ve never been before as H was born just after midnight on the day I turned 39 weeks.
So here is my two weeks of happy, and I hope my last before we add Baby into the mix!
1. Sun & garden
We spent loads of time in the garden last week and I got some planting done, while hubby finished the patio. It still needs gravel edging, the wall clad in decking and the grass to grow back in a few places but it’s brilliant. He’s done an amazing job and as you can see from this picture, it’s perfect for Toddler H.
Yes, sometimes I struggled with the heat, but I guess that’s the perils of being pregnant at this time of year!

2. Hair colour
I waited to dye my hair again, going as close as I dared to baby due date. I love having less grays again!
3. Hospital bags
We put our bags in the car last weekend and also the car seat in. There’s nothing like a good few hours of regular times contractions to give you a push in the ‘get stuff actually ready’ stakes.
4. Friends
We’ve got amazing friends, but they’ve been just so so supportive these last couple of weeks. It’s been amazing, and it’s lovely how H just asks to play with them day after day, and does her little “ohhhhh 😞” sulk when we’re not seeing them. Actually this morning she cried because she was convinced she should be going to play at her friend B’s house. She was so so so upset.
5. Painting & Play-Doh
Painting and play-doh have crept back in to or daily play again this week. I love how H concentrates so hard at both. Fingers crossed it continues when baby arrives, especially if baby cluster feeds every morning like H did (I really hope not!).
6. Blogging friends
After my midwife appointment today I’m very grateful to all the lovely friends who commented on my argghh midwife and how do I get this baby properly moving post. Your support and advice really helped me see the light and not be quite as frustrated – thank you!!
7. Baby prep
We moved the Chicco Next2Me crib to our room and it’s all ready for baby. It looks so comfy for her, I can’t wait to see her in it.
We also received some very awesome toys from the Bkids range for baby, though I totally see H playing with them before long!
8. Family time
We went for yummy dinner at Frankie and Bennys last weekend as we figured it had a good kids menu. They were fantastic with Toddler H and I thoroughly recommend their Cheltenham branch if you’re out with kids. She even got a balloon – a sure winner for ever toddler!

Have a lovely week all, I’m hoping baby arrives this weekend… And not many other plans other than waking, bouncing and seeing how many curries or hot foods we can eat,
