This year we’ve very kindly been given some tickets for the Cheltenham Literature Festival and now we’ve been to two of the events I really wanted to share what a brilliant event this is. It’s perfect for families. A fantastic day out. Here’s our plan for the week…
Family events we’ve already attended –
Chris Hoy And The Flying Fergus Team
It was amazing to hear such well known inspirations talk, and draw. Chris Hoy, the Olympian champion cyclist, Joanna Nadin, author of 70+ books, some have made made into TV series how cool is that? -and Clare Elsom illustrator, illustrators of Horace and Harriet, Marie Mae… and a bunch of other books.
Billy and the Beast
– my review is coming –
Located in The Hive, a beanbag child-friendly tent with a buggy park outside, we heard the Nadia Shireen, the author and illustrator, read her books Billy and the Beast and Bumblebear. Fantastic books, the children all loved the readings and making all the noises. Nadia also showed them all how to draw Fat Cat and Bumblebear, and all the kids loved copying on their clipboards.
