This is the point in the week where I remember all the things we’ve smiled and laughed about this week… to be honest we’ve not done too much this week due to H’s desire to wear big girl pants and use the potty. So it’s been ups and downs! Ecstatic cheers, cuddles and kisses when she holds on and makes the potty, and the other extreme which involves lots of wipes, anti bac cleaning and washing!
I did finally publish a post on our holiday last September, staying in a caravan Croyde, North Devon – we had a lovely time, so I was so pleased to finally finish writing it and look back at the fun we had and all the photos and videos.
1. February
I’m not one who hates January, but I did love February coming round so I could buy creme eggs and daffodils – January seemed a bit early for these. I seem to be craving chocolate this entire pregnancy so far! I also love looking back at the previous month and setting some aims for the next.
2. Toddler bed
H has had her toddler bed for a whole week now, and really loves it. She snuggles in and says night night and we sneak (run) out of the room.
3. Friends
This week I also I went out for dinner with a few friends from H’s swimming class. It was a lovely evening with piles of food – perfect for being pregnant.
4. Funny things toddlers say
H appears to have hit the age where she makes stuff up. Ask her: “does granny cook dogs tails and snails and slugs for dinner” she’ll say no “potatoes and chicken“…. Then ask her what hubby’s mum cooks and she’ll reply “YES!!!“, it’s hilarious. Apparently daddy brushes his teeth with a combine harvester!
Daddy is LOVING this new stage!
5. New games
As you know we’re Orchard Toys Official Testers, but I spotted this Shopping Game in Morrisons Baby Event for £5 and it’s perfect for H from her great granny with her Christmas money. She absolutely loves it and I thoroughly recommend it (even for a 2 year old)!
6. Feeling better
As I mentioned last week we’d been suffering with colds for a week, well, it took two weeks, but I think we’ve turned the corner!
7. H’s first rainbow
I’m sure we’ve seen rainbows since H was born, but this was the first she saw and knew what it was…
She kept shouting “can’t reach it mummy” 😂
Hope you’ve had lots of happy funny moments this week too xx

I love daffodils, they always bring a smile to my face! I agree with you. January is too early for creme eggs, but now we’re in February, it’s okay to eat them now!
