It’s been another super quick week, so I’ll get straight to my happy list…
1. Coffee
I’ve had a couple of coffees this week they’ve been lovely. I’m definitely back to being a mummy fuelled by coffee, cake, chocolate and cuddles!
2. Lunch date with hubby
We met daddy for lunch this week, something we aimed to do when G was born and have now done twice! It was lovely and should be easier next time as H was rather irritated needing the toilet which leads on to my next point…
3. Potty
Less accidents! That’s all I’m saying!!! Definitely lots of happy moments this week. We’re not braving pants outside yet, but think we will next week 🙈
4. New inventions!
We bought this amazing travel potty for H… How cute is this dinosaur? She chose dinosaur over penguin and cute white and pink car, much to the lady in Mothercare’s shock. The look on her face as H saw it and dismissed the cute cat she thought she’d go for (to be fair H was wearing pink wellies and a pink coat). It really is those small moments that make you smile.
5. New doors
When we moved into our house the previous owners had taken away the doors separating the dining room and living room. We wanted them back, but they’re an odd size so super expensive and we ummmmd and ahhhhhed over design. But we finally made a decision and hubby has spent quite a bit of time planing and cutting them to fit perfectly. We’re incredibly pleased, and its warmer too! This is one big happy moment which
6. Toddler laughs
We’ve had untold new words and phrases from H again this week. She’s definitely providing us with lots of smiles and laughs in among the odd standoff over toddler tantrums. I’ve been making the most of these moments, and cuddles too; I know when Baby #2 is born it’ll all be a bit different.
7. Toddler cuteness and friends
H loves her friends and gets upset if they aren’t at her usual classes. They’re all so cute together, thick as thieves playing, and following each other around. I’m not even sure they need toys!
We also met a friend at Gloucester services, had a coffee and the little ones played- it was lovely as he was very protective of H and she loved following him around.
8. Craftiness
I’ve made a few more button and scrabble tile frame designs follow on from those I made last week. I love the down time and turning off. I’m definitely going to try selling them and setting up a Facebook page and Instagram… so look out for that soon 😀 I just need to think of a name for my mum business… Suggestions on a postcard please!
That’s it folks, a lovely week! Now I’m hoping the snow forecast this weekend does actually appear, we need some good snow!
Have a lovely week!
