We were recently contacted by New English Teas offering us the chance to review their Alice in Wonderland gift bundle – a bundle of tea sounds awesome to me! It’s perfect for Mother’s Day, and the large tin loo perfect for storing biscuits in once we’ve finished the tea!
As you can see the tins are all gorgeous, with Alice in Wonderland quotes one the edge of the larger tin, and the most beautiful drawings on each small tin too.
New English Teas
New English Teas are produced for the UK from pure Ceylon Teas packed in Sri Lanka. We honeymooned in Sri Lanka and their teas were so refreshing, these New English Teas really are refreshing and a lovely treat. They have lovely flavours to them and aren’t just your standard cup of builders tea. Or reheated umpteen times and then drunk cold mummy tea!
New English Teas was established in 1985 by Anthony Brown, the great-grandson of Brooke Bond Tea founder Arthur Brooke. With a deep-seated history in creating fine tea brands, Anthony saw an opportunity for tea to be developed as a gift item and set about creating a range of products which customers would come to love and cherish all around the world.
New English Teas – About Us
New English Teas believe in ethical trading, building great relationships with their producers, growers and farmers in Sri Lanka and India to select and source products with fairness, safety and respect. Not only that they are “proud to donate a percentage of our profits to a select number of charitable activities and foundations around the world” – something we all should really support.
What’s in the Alice in Wonderland bundle
There are two packages, one large tin, and a set of 3 small loose tea leaf tins. The teas are sealed in foil bags which are large enough to wrap around the tea bags once you’ve opened them, keeping them nice and sealed.
Inside the large tin are 3 bags of tea, with 34 tea bags in each – English Breakfast Tea, English Afternoon Tea and Earl Grey.
And, inside each smaller tin there are more teas – 28g of loose tea leaves in each…
Tea tasting
I do love a good cup of tea, and don’t like it too bitter. I absolutely love these teas, and have thoroughly njiyed trying them, having a goo hot up of tea when the girls are in bed. Obviously I will be keeping them for when I’m really in need of a good cup of tea. You, know, one when the going is tough and I can really appreciate and will not have to reheat 3 times because the kids have interrupted.
This is why I think this is a perfect gift for Mother’s Day.
A good cup of tea, a nice cup of tea, is something so so many of us appreciate.
I’ll also have a giveaway live on my Facebook and Instagram pages later this week, so do keep your eyes peeled over there. There will be one Alice in Wonderland Tea bundle to win, and you will be able to enter on either may Facebook page or Instagram (or both!!).
