I’ve been using these Nom Nom Kids Reusable Baby Food Pouches since Toddler H was a baby and still use them now she’s – 2.5 year old toddler. So for 2 years now we’ve used them several times a week, even daily and we love LOVE LOOOOOVE them. The pouches mean you can pop your own smoothies, yogurts, and purees into a pouch instead of buying expensive baby food pouches.
There are lots of reasons why we love them so I’m making this a quick post on their advantages and then some photos of them so you can see just why they are THE BEST.
Why do I love them?
- Easy to clean ✔️
- Huge side opening – easy to fill! Just using a spoon or pouring ✔️
- No other ‘gadgets’ needed to fill them ✔️
- Double seal so they don’t don’t don’t leak ✔️
- Dishwasher & freezer safe ✔️
- BPA, phthalate & PVC free
- A great size ✔️
- Fab fun design… ✔️
- Convenient ✔️
And….. cheaper than shop bought pouches!
When I compared the Nom Nom pouches to others they all had much smaller openenings, some sealing at the bottom, and many required filling through the spout – fiddly and requiring other tools. Now I have enough gadgets in my kitchen and what with a Perfdct Prep, steriliser and all my breastfeeding paraphernalia from a pump to collection shells… Our kitchen was quite full of new baby things as it was. I wanted the easy option, the quick option… And the one that didn’t clog up my kitchen. Nom Nom kids pouches fit the bill perfectly.
We often just pop some plain yoghurt in ours – it’s a really easy to take yogurt out and about with us. H mostly specifies that’s how she wants to have her pudding yoghurt. I’m seriously never complaining at that as it’s completely mess free!
We also put smoothies in them too. There are loads of ideas on the Nom Nom website.
We always include one in our packed lunches
What do you think? Have you tried Nom Nom food pouches? Have you tried another make of reusable pouch?

June 26, 2017 at 11:00 amI love the idea of reusable pouches. Baby stuff produces so much waste any way to reduce that is good by me!

June 28, 2017 at 9:03 amHi, I have seen several other great reviews in these mainly from parents who have allergies so that they can have safe food on the go. I think they could work for a grown up as well #dreamteam

June 28, 2017 at 5:02 pmWow, what a simple, but awesome idea!! I wish I’d known about these when mine were little-I was forever trying to find ways of transporting the children’s food (with mixed success,) and I love that children can easily feed themselves from them too-as I love the ‘green’ reusable aspect!

June 29, 2017 at 8:32 pmThese would be amazing for weaning home made purees – and as you say they transfer really well to toddlers too. Wonder if I should just puree a cheese sandwhich and see if the mouse will eat it out of one of these *sigh*.
