I posted yesterday how we received some lovely gifts to review from Blacks.co.uk and all about my The North Face goodies. Well hubby also received some new walking boots and waterproof trousers. We do love the outdoors and always have, and hubby often has an evening cycle ’round the block’ as he’s usually been cooped up all day. Anyway, like my walking boots his were rather old, and so he was rather pleased to be offered a new pair of Men’s walking boots, and after trying on a few pairs, these men’s Berghaus walking boots fitted the bill perfectly.
Hubby’s wearing the Berghaus Expeditor Trek 2.0 walking boots are breathable, odour resistant, and waterproof. They feature an AQ® waterproof lining, breathable suede and mesh uppers, Opti-Stud soles and a EVA midsole which features OrthoLite® shock absorbing and ‘odour eating’ footbed.
Opti-Stud® soles – Berghaus traction system combines large and small studs to cushion impact and bite into the ground
Hubby found them very comfy and the grilled at the terrain, mud and grass we have walked on. Perfect for days out walking in the hills but also trips to the park chasing the kids across the grass.
Berghaus walking boots – Hubby’s verdict:
The Berghaus walking boots from Blacks/Millets are really comfy, supportive and even though they seemed big as I first put them on (but the smaller size were too small), they are perfect. They’ve coped with every walk we’ve thrown at them so far and will be worn at every opportunity!
The Berghaus Expeditor Trek men’s walking boots have an RRP of £100, but are currently on sale at £89.
He was also sent these men’s Craghoppers waterproof trousers, and unlike his previous pair these are made of a lovely quiet material and have fleece inside, so are lovely and warm too. These are the ‘Craghoppers Men’s Steall Waterproof Trousers’ which havea RRP of £70. They are breathable and fully lined, they have an elastic waist and taped seams making them waterproof, fleece lining to be warm, and Velcro adjustment at the bottom to be nice and flexible.
There’s definitely less of a shwip shwip shwip as we walk! He’s also much more likely to wear these, partly for that reason but also because they just seem much more like ‘proper’ trousers. They’re really comfy too and sit nicely on the waist. The Steall waterproof trousers feature AquaDry™…
AquaDry™ membrane technology – this waterproof layer creates an impenetrable barrier against wet weather without compromising breathability and comfort.
Craghoppers waterproof trousers – Hubby’s verdict:
These men’s waterproof trousers are packed with features and from what they say extremely waterproof. We’ve not managed to test that yet, but I’m sure we will get caught in a downpour soon enough!
The Craghoppers Steall men’s waterproof trousers have an RRP of £70, but are currently 50% off, at £35!
Now we’re hopefully all on the mend, we’ll be out and about much more again so I’m sure you’ll see a lot more of these on my Instagram!
Thanks again to Blacks for gifting us these items, and do pop over to my blog post from yesterday to see the women’s walking boots and fleece I received – both definitely recommended, and I wear them all the time on the school run – so well worth it for all activities!
