Well, my plan was to write a post on my favourite posts of the year, and those that performed best based on views…. However, I lost my blogging mojo in August, and then with being absolutely shattered through being pregnant, I thought the blog had performed in two very different ways though out the year. But, it’s really interesting comparing the stats, I actually had more pageviews in the second half of the year, mostly through search – so a really great achievement. I’m now really excited going into 2017 knowing that my posts are being found on Google but also Pinterest. In 2017, I also hope to get back into the linkies which I’ve not had time for for falling asleep as soon as H was in bed – sorry hubby for being asleep so much! I also plan to work on my SEO and hope my search rankings will also continue to improve. Of course, if I look at comments, they have dropped off in the second half of the year, and I have my fingers crossed that by getting back into a few linkies that they’ll get closer to where they were before.
I also know that when I gave up #TheBabyFormula linky my views and comments obviously took a hit. I’m actually toying with starting it up again on a monthly basis as I really loved the community and my favourite bloggers who linked up each week. I’ve missed you all! I also love that I helped others find great friends and new blogs to read. In my book blogs help others, either through supporting each-other through the tantrums (Brummy Mummy of Two), the real life (The Unmumsy Mum), reviews and crafts (Anyway To Stay At Home), babyhood and positive thinking (Beauty Baby and Me) or general motherhood (Mum Muddling Through) or even inspiring interiors interspersed (into the toddler world) (Mum in Brum). So, every blog ?has the potential to help or inspire others, providing even the most basic reassurance and so, helping link people with blogs is an amazing thing.
But, back to my most viewed blog posts of the year, which you might want to catch up on if you missed them…
