Well, I must say Trespass picked a fantastic time to get in touch asking if I’d like to review a woman’s waterproof jacket and walking boots. We’re always off for walks, days out and with all these storms I have definitely given them a real good test, even if it’s just the school run! I was absolutely thrilled at the timing, as my trusty 10 year old Trespass waterproof had recently started to let the water though, and I thoroughly hope my new Trespass Florissant waterproof jacket lasts just as long. It it so comfy and well thought out with pockets just where I need them, all with zips too – an essential for all my school run bits and bobs.
You know, you buy a jacket, and then think, I wish I had a pocket there, or a pocket for my phone, or the hood adjusted a bit more to keep my nose dry? Well, so far so good, I can’t really complain about anything to do with the Florissant jacket. It just covers my bottom, so is perfect for the school run, meaning it doesn’t get in the way when we jump in the car, and I don’t need to faff. We can just jump in and get home.
There is a drawstring around the bottom as well so it pulls in, meaning it is actually really good at keeping the cold air out too and fitting nicely with jumpers, hoodies and even a padded jacket underneath.
It is just a waterproof jacket, without padding, but it has a lovely lining. Not plasticy like so many waterproof jackets I’ve tried on or owned in the long distant past.
Cold wise, it also has very adjustable wrists, and not only that they are very comfy with a lovely soft fabric both on the wrists and around the collar.
I really can’t fault it at all and would definitely recommend it.
The Florissant waterproof jacket is TP75, and waterproof to 5000mm and breathable to 5000mm too. It has taped seams and as you can kind of see in this photo the water just sits on top of it, so actually it dries really quick too and kept me lovely and dry inside it too. This photo was after a very wet, and windy school run during storm Jorge (the umpteenth this year!)… have we ever had this many storms before the end of February?
I’ve been really pleased with the jacket, and just how comfy and waterproof it is.
I’ll be sharing my new Trespass walking boots too…. so do check back if you’re after a good pair of walking boots for getting some good old fashioned outdoor time, especially to keep your feet nice and dry in the boggy ground after all these rain storms this winter – click here to read my Trespass Tensing Walking Boots REVIEW.
