Woohoo! We’re Konfidence Swimologist Ambassadors! … & a #giveaway

Now we’re back from holiday it’s also time I properly announced our very exciting news… we’re thrilled to be Swimologist Ambassadors for Konfidence Baby and Toddler Swimwear.

This isn’t the first time I’ve written about the importance of, or why we love baby swimming classes.

What do we know about taking baby swimming?

Well, Toddler H is now 3.5 years and has been swimming since she was 10 weeks old. Likewise, Baby B first went swimming at 8 weeks, and is now about to start her first lessons. She has however been swimming every couple of weeks since then, it’s just second child syndrome that she’s not started yet!

So, I know what swim schools such as Waterbabies expect and what swimwear you must have to take your baby swimming and ensure no poo-disasters.

I also know exactly how important it is that babies do learn to swim, and know what they can achieve. Toddler H has achieved her Swim England Level 2, at just over 3 she was able to float, swim lengths and lengths of the pool using a woggle or float, jump in safely, climb out, and for over two years has confidently been able to kick and swim to the surface herself. She knows how to blow bubbles to breathe (bubbles bubbles breathe is our favourite saying). Don’t get me wrong she wasn’t the keenest at going under or being splashed, but one day she was fine and has excelled ever since.

So, why are we Konfidence Swimology Ambassadors if we’ve ‘been there before’?

We’re Swimologists because we love swimming, we are passionate about swimming, and know how important it is that little ones a) learn to swim, but equally important b) wear the correct gear so they can love swimming and can keep swimming instead of having to run out of the pool because of an escapee poo! Did you know pools have to be closed to be cleaned if a poo does escape? Don’t let that scare you though – My next post tells you exactly what you need to take you baby swimming!

Why do we think baby swimming is the bees knees?

It’s a lifesaver, it’s safety, it’s brilliant for reassurance on holiday and brilliant to know my baby knows how to kick to the surface. She knows how to hold on. She knows how to move along the side and climb out. That’s just a few of the things they start learning straight away. Isn’t that wonderful? It’s that something that every baby (or toddler) should know?

Why Konfidence baby swimwear?

Like I said above, they sell safe swimwear that baby swim schools love… they keep babies safe, warm and those nappies are absolute essentials. A two nappy system is definitely essential, and something that is uber reassuring for mummy (and daddy) too.
