Having been on holiday for a week (our first family holiday abroad) I’ve re-evaluated and decided to join the #HappyDays linky by Katy from What Katy Said and Sian from Quite Frankly She Said. I’ll aim to do this quick list each week of the things that have made me happy. I had started this blog to keep track of time flying by so this linky should help, remember happy times and what we’ve been up to.
Crucially, even if it’s been a rubbish week, even if it’s been tantrum central, a leap, a wonder week, or, eeeek a teething week, I’ll get to the end of the week, with my glass of wine in hand and take stock, remember the funny bits, the squeals of delight and the fun family times.
So, what made mummy happy this week?
Holidays
We were brave and had our first family holiday abroad on a plane last week, arriving home on Tuesday. It was fantastic, we had a brilliant time and Toddler H was so well behaved #happymummy&daddy
Sunshine
This makes everyone happy, right? We had it every day in Menorca, it was bliss, it was warm it was sooooooo relaxing.
NCT friends
We try to meet up as often as we can! and some of us do some of the same baby classes. However, this week four of us met up for a play date and it was lovely. We had four 18 month olds and one teeny tiny newborn who was as good as gold. Actually they were all so cute playing happily, sharing toys, laughing away, and crucially let us mummies chat, drink tea and eat yummy Waitrose cake.
Best Friends
On Friday we met up with one of my closest friends and her son. B is a year older than Toddler H, but they get along brilliantly. Sometimes there can be some sharing issues depending on who’s house we’re at and all those mood inducing things toddlers go through. However, yesterday they were in brilliant moods, sharing holding hands and taking turns *gasp*
Shoes
I had to include this as Toddler H loves shoes, she’s obsessed. Her smiles and excitement when I hand her a pair, or she comes running in holding her favourites is infectious. She makes me smile and laugh. Actually so many lovely people on holiday also commented on her laugh and smile…. And how cute she was in her panda shoes ? #proudmummy
So that’s it, my first #HappyDays post. And, I can tell you, it worked. I’m sat smiling at all these lovely memories, lovely people and my family.
