What made mummy happy #7

Happy List, Life with a toddler
We may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post.

I’m trying to join in with the Happy Days Linky run by Quite Frankly She Said and What Katy Said… yes, I don’t make it every week, but I try!
So, this week has been a bit less active than last when my parents were staying.

1. Park life

Last weekend we had a lovely time at the local park, the ducks were in top form as there were some kids feeding them! A toddlers dream! H was shattered afterwards and even had a nap.

2. Relaxing

We had a day of pottering on Sunday which was just what we needed, H playing in the garden and lots of sandpit time. She’s so cute saying two, three, go (to turn the bucket over), then tap tap tap (hitting it with a spade) and lifting it up.

3. Play dates

We had a little play date on Tuesday and H and her little friend had lots of fun playing, reading and doing puzzles. We discovered there’s a type of wooden puzzle which, when you put the correct shape in the hole makes the shape’s sound e.g. The fire engine nee-naws, the lion roars etc.

4. Pop up toddler classes

Unfortunately as it’s summer holidays all our classes are off which is making us both get a bit bored at times. Luckily one of our classes, Tatty Bumpkin was on as a pop up class this week. H absolutely loved it, and I did too, it’s just a wee bit of normality.

5. Coffee

We met a friend who’s just had a baby a few weeks ago for a coffee and had a lovely chat. Her teeny baby slept a lot, but when she was awake her eyes were huge exploring everything. Soooooo cute!

6. Home

We really feel like we’re almost there on our home decorating. The utility room is almost finished (we were putting a door in between the garage and the utility), the garage is almost walk-in-able and the new sideboard that arrive last week is feeling homely. I love this bargain frame I spotted in Homebase for 50p!

7. Tomatoes

We’ve been having a tomatoes a day from our tomato plants, they’re so yummy and juicy. I just love them! Toddler H does too, and she’s eaten most of them. It’s lovely she’s seeing and understanding how they grow from teeny tiny green ‘balls’ through orange and red.

So, that was my week. Lovely family time and a bit of week time fun,

Lynne x
