We’ve had a really lovely week so I’m just going straight into my list…
1. Family
I didn’t do a happy list last week as we had a long weekend away. We stayed with my parents and also all went to a family wedding. The venue was gorgeous, a huge marquee with views and lovely flowers
We all had a really brilliant time and of course the bride looked stunning. H was brilliant apart from a few ‘I’m tired’ and ‘I don’t want to just sit here and listen to people talking’ moments. Most of the time she ran around smiling (hyper) and dancing.
2. Crafting
As many of you know I love crafting and love making new things. I made a new fascinator for the wedding which was really fun to make. I have made quite a few fascinator a before including my wedding tiara, but I was really please with this one and it only took half an hour.
3. Friends
We had a couple of play dates this week with some my NCT friends and had a good catch up, with the much needed and necessary cake and tea. H had so much fun with her friends, they really do play together at only 20 months old. Doing ‘counting’ and running like crazy across a room, lying on the floor up to mischief then jumping up and crawling around giggling away. Even at strawberry picking where there’s a huge sandpit, giving eachother the spades and rakes, hugs and contagious excitement to see eachother.
On top of that we met our friends new twins too, who are just adorable.
4. A new jumper
Yes, this makes my list…. Because I LOVE it! I’m looking forward to wearing it all winter, when this humid heat wave is over. (I’m not complaining, it’s been lovely!!)
5. Strawberry picking
We went strawberry picking yesterday, although to be honest we spent most of the time in the play area, which is just super for toddlers up to older kids too. It’s so safe, and really just much better than some parks we’ve been to!
H played with friends, and the. We went and picked a few strawberries. She was so well behaved, holding my hand and then having a cuddle on the way back. She didn’t really pick any strawberries, something I was pleased at, as we’re growing them in the garden and I don’t really want her picking all the green ones! She did pick some, but did realise we only pick red ones… and she only munched on two! (Check out my review of Primrose Vale PYO)
Hope you’ve all and a lovely week too? Happy long weekend!
